For the last year I have been growing my hair out. It makes my husband happy and my hair dresser refused to cut it short anymore. Good thing she is one of my besties. Since I now have long flowing hair, I keep it up in a ponytail so I look more like a man than I did before.
Last weekend, I was playing around, trying once again to create a new product to add to my vendor booth for the 4th of Joly. I got butterflies in my stomach when I thought about doing a crochet chevron hair bow. After an hour of trying it a couple of ways, it turned into a big fat FAIL! I decided to just do stripes and it made me ALMOST as happy as the thought of the chevron stripe idea. I wish I could pause time and create a bow in ever color combo that flashes into my mind. These are a few that I managed to get made up, pretty cute eh? I have them listed in my Etsy Store now.

Color Burst Crochet Afghan
I am slightly obsessed with crocheting afghans in this happy chevron/wave pattern. I have 5 started in my house and this is the only one I have finished. This is proof that I have the most patient husband in all the land! This one makes my insides so happy, I am a little sad to sell it. I have decided to cover this pain with Doritos and DP. You can see more info about this blanket here in my Etsy shop

Infant Snail Costume
This little treasure was requested by a photography client. I made it, think its cute but wouldn't really make another unless someone requested it. Since I don't use patterns, I sometimes forget how I did certain parts but I think I could repeat this one. I have it listed in my Etsy Shop as part of the results of my spring cleaning extravaganza going on in the basement.

4th of July Tutu Skirt
I have so many craft supplies in my possession. All of them had great intentions of either bringing me closer to my goal of being a thousandaire or having Oprah call to meet the newest most innovative crafter who turned her families humble lifestyle upside down, never having to worry about bills getting paid in full AND on time. I know it sounds like bragging when I say I am SO close to one of those goals. I will keep it to myself as to not make people envy me.
Since my first intention of making pettiskirts with this nylon chiffon lasted about 5 skirts, I now have odd colored rolls of this stuff. The challenge, make whatever I can out of it. I have come up with two uses so far, this cute little patriotic skirt/tutu and bows. That's right, I said TWO uses. I just hope Oprah will not have a hard time finding me.
I used non-roll elastic, stitched it together on the sewing machine. I cut out strips that were approximately 24"x2.5" and tied them on the elastic. Tada! A festive skirt sure to please the crowds in the upcoming holiday celebrations.
